
Vassie Naidoo
K.I.C.K. Founder and Board Chairperson
Sensei Vassie helped launch the NFYL and was the original
founder of K.I.C.K. in 1996. He’s been the owner of a successful
small business in Southern California for the past 20 years. Sensei
Vassie has practiced karate for over 33 years and holds a sixth-degree
black belt in Goju-Ryu. His dojo (karate school) in Santa Monica is
the primary site for karate classes he teaches where he is the Chief
Instructor. This location is also the home office for K.I.C.K.
Vassie’s goal of extending the impact and influence of K.I.C.K.
helped establish the NFYL and the successful approach of developing
relationships with for-profit organizations to deliver beneficial community
service programs promoting health, heightened health awareness and youthful
living.
Through his humble demeanor, Vassie is a figurehead for many children
and youths seeking to gain a unique introspective that is not based
on grandeur but an appreciation for all living things and the ability
to grow from within and affect others in a positive and profound way.

Reverend James Daly
Fund Development Director and Board Member
Rev. Daly, the Founding Minister of the Love & Understanding
Institute, has spent the past twenty years working with many nonprofit
organizations in every capacity from volunteer to Board Member and Executive
Director. Reverend Daly received a degree in Electrical Engineering
from Manhattan College, Riverdale, New York and was ordained a minister
of Religious Science in June, 2002.
His successful career in the High Tech industry spans 28 years of sales
and executive management. Rev. Daly has also directed and facilitated
numerous fund raising activities. His considerable business acumen is
put to use for everything from business planning to fund development.
Rev. Daly holds a third-degree black belt in Goju-Ryu.

Brian Lerner
Esquire and Board Member
Counsel to the NFYL board for legal
issues, instructional participant for K.I.C.K.’s inner city program.
Mr. Lerner’s primary responsibilities include guidance on legal
issues relative to programs and the needs of the NFYL. Mr. Lerner is
in private practice with a local law firm in California.

Christian Gonzalez
Board Member - Fund Raising Activities
A marketing professional with many years of experience,
Mr. Gonzalez contributes his acumen and expertise in properly positioning
the NFYL to promote our accomplishments and mission.
Mr. Gonzalez is integral to providing assistance for fund raising and
awareness activities.
